Johnny and Nick have spent most of their academic and professional lives pursuing various arears of scientific and financial research.  On Wall Street Nick's speciality was that of volatlity and equity derivatives, while Johnny researched the way one's emotions could influence one's trading actions. Anyone who has ever walked across a Wall Street trading floor, it is quite easy to determine which traders are making money and vice versa by watching how they behave.
